“Catharsis” – A Short Film

There is a moment in “Catharsis” when Jason reaches out to touch the cheek of Susan, a woman from his past. His hand reaches within a fraction of an inch; you can feel the heat between his hand and her cheek. It was the first moment that I imagined when writing the script and the moment that I shaped the film around. Encapsulated in that simple gesture are questions about love, regret, desire, betrayal, life, and death. “Catharsis” takes the audience through that experience and explores the complexities of relationships and what they signify to us. I invite the audience to explore the mysteries and the emotions that is “Catharsis.”
